It's Monday! What are you reading?

I haven't done this meme in the longest time! Hosted here now: http://bookjourney.wordpress.com/

Hrm. I'm still having a very slow reading year; so I probably don't have a whole lot to report.

What I'm reading now - and I'm nearly finished as a matter of fact - is Private, by James Patterson. I like Patterson for fast reads that don't take up too much brain power, and Private is no exception.

After that ... would you believe I'm still reading The Two Towers? And the LOTR readalong finished in APRIL!!!

I have so many books on my want to read list that I really don't know what's going to be next! Although I should finish The Two Towers, and possibly restart The City & The City. I started the latter some time ago, but it's been long enough that a re-start is in order, rather than a pick u where I left off. And I do want to read it - it has a very intriguing premise.

So ... what are you reading?

As much as I love Tolkien's world I have a hard time getting through those books quickly too.

I have only read the love story written by J. Patterson. The title is Suzanne's Diary. I want to start reading his fast paced novels like Private.

I really like Patterson and I am interested in reading Private. Glad to see you are enjoying it.

Thanks for joining in this week! :D

I'm glad you clarified Patterson. I see so many of his books, I wouldn't know where to start. Since you've identified his books as "quick reads," I just might give him a shot.

I find Tolkien is best in small bits. Take your time - you'll get there!

Patterson is a good and quick read. Nice when you don't have that much time to read. I haven't dared to tackle Tolkien (beyond The Hobbit) so wishing you good luck with that.

Ah it's a shame your reading year is going so badly, but better that than say your financial year or something. I'm planning to start The City and The City next week - perhaps we could be reading buddys.
