It's Monday! What are you reading?

Your meme is hosted here: http://bookjourney.wordpress.com/

I'm still picking away at Under Heaven by Guy Gavriel Kay but I suspect it might have to go back to the library largely unread. I'm enjoying it but it's a large, dense book that demands rather more time than I have at the moment, I fear.

I picked up My Life in Paris by Julia Child and Alex Prud'Homme and it's far more my speed right now. It's basically a collection of reminiscinces (ouch spelling) by Child about her years in France and it's a lovely, light read.

What are YOU reading?

I've heard a lot of good things about the Julia Child book. Must interrogate the library catalogue. Except the TBR list I'm compiling from blogs needs to be recored on a roll of loo paper. It is getting to quite looong. :)

Yeah, the list probably needs to be "recorded" as well.")

I liked Under Heaven but it was quite long and slow going.

I've been curious about My Life in Paris since seeing Julie and Julia. I feared that it would be too heavy, so it's good to know that you found it lovely and light.

Under Heaven was good. I read it last year. Unfortunately I never reviewed it! I really need to read more from him, but I think I don't because his books are so dense and you need to be in the right mood for him...

Sheila: Thank you :-)
gautami: you too!
Nina: It's wonderful and I"m loving it :D
Heather: That's what I'm finding. I'm loving it but I don't have the time for long and slow-going right now unfortunately
Samantha: Thank you :-)
Southern Fiber: I'm learning that - lol
Aleetha: Thank you :-)
Joy: It's basically about eating and cooking - lol. It's not heavy at all
Kailana: Yes, you do need to be in the right mood, that's what I'm finding with this.
