Booking Through Thursday

It's been a while since I did one of these, but this one is a list, and I love me some lists :)

Here's the explanation from http://btt2.wordpress.com/

“This can be a quick one. Don’t take too long to think about it. Fifteen books you’ve read that will always stick with you. First fifteen you can recall in no more than 15 minutes.”

1) The Lord of the Rings by J R R Tolkien

2) Odd Thomas by Dean Koontz

3) The Belgariad :( by David Eddings (Rest in peace)

4) Magician by Raymond E Feist

5) One Hundred Years of Solitude by Gabriel Garcia Marquez

6) The Passion by Jeanette Winterson

7) A Moveable Feast by Ernest Hemingway

8) The Graveyard Book by Neil Gaiman

9) The Secret Garden by Frances Hodgson Burnett

10) The Sparrow by Mary Doria Russell

11) The Murder of Roger Ackroyd by Agatha Christie

12) The Stand by Stephen King

13) On Writing by Stephen King

14) A Little Princess by Frances Hodgson Burnett

15) Lucy Sullivan is Getting Married by Marian Keyes

That was fun!

Great list! I haven't read any of them, but I definitely loved the last Keyes book I read so I will definitely add the one on your list to my TBR pile.

I have The Secret Garden on my list also. You're the first blogger that put The Graveyard Book down. I should've added that! Great list.

Oooh, yours is the first entry I've come across which also has Hundred Years of Solitude. I loved Secret Garden while growing up - such a well-written book! Read Little Princess more recently, and thought that was incredible as well.

Good list - love The Stand and Lord of the Rings. Several others on there I want to read.

Of these books I've read half of The Secret Garden(somebody had long ago abused the poor book so a bit of it was missing). But I have it on audio now and I'm going to listen to it soon(can't wait to find out the rest).

Some of the other books is on my wish list.

Enjoy your weekend!

ACK! I've only read 2 of these! LOTR and On Writing. A fun idea.

Good choices! I waffled between Secret Garden and A Little Princess, but didn't want to include more than one book by the same author. I haven't read the particular Agatha Christie you mention, so may seek that out at the library or the charity shop.

You may not have read any from my list but I've read both by Burnett. There's a few books and authors on my list, including Lord of the Rings, has been on there for a long time.
