It's been a couple of weeks, I'm not sure what happened there.
Anyway. I finished One Hundred Years of Solitude, and it remains as devastating as ever.
I
also embarked on another graphic novel, and read the first part of Y:
The Last Man. I liked it a lot, but I'm going to dig deeper into it
before I go any further than "like."
I finally picked up Shirley Jackson, and read We Have Always Lived in the Castle, which is a creepy little novel.
I
finished Dog Will Have His Day, which is .... odd. Interesting, but
kind of odd. However, that might have been the translation, I'm not
sure.
I'm still reading Wool, and The City & The City.
I got Mr Mercedes by Stephen King for my birthday last week, and I'm
half way through that.
That's ... a lot of dudes. Next up, to balance the universe, a lot of ladies.
What are you reading?

Having studied Spanish literature as my secondary language requirement for my lit degree, I've heard a LOT about One Hundred Years of Solitude. Maybe I can read it in English since the Spanish might be too intimidating for me to start!
Good to meet someone who enjoys reading comics too. :) I've only dipped my toes into comics so far.
Happy belated birthday! :)

You've got a lot of interesting reads in your bullpen. Hope they turn out to be all you hope.
Here's my It's Monday!
Looks like you have been reading a number of odd books. I hope you like the ones on the stack for this week. Come see my week here. Happy reading!
Buying Mr. Mercedes is on my to-do list today! :)
I have read a little Shirley Jackson before, but never We Have Always Lived in the Castle. Which does sound super creepy!!
A lot of these books are in my TBR. I am most looking forward to reading Y: The Last Man.
Have a great week.

Ellen: You should give it a go, I love it! :-)
Deb: Me too - lol :D
Kathy: I"m a very eclectic reader, always :-)
Magpie: It's a short book but very shivery. I hope you enjoy Mr Mercedes :D
Natalie: I'm going to get volume 2 out of the library soon, I have high hopes :-)
What a busy week you've had! Thank you so much for stopping by my blog, all the best from Anette :)
Aw, did you like the Shirley Jackson? I adore her, but I couldn't tell whether "creepy little book" was in this case a compliment or not. :p
Anette: It was pretty productive yes!
Jenny: I did! Creepy is always a good thing for me :-)
I think I'm intimidated by this The City and The City re-read. I need to get going again and remember that this book is fun as well as super smart.
Jodie: Me too. I did start it but then I started reading everything else BUT that.
