The Reading Week

It's Monday, so it's time to answer the question again: what are you reading? Brought to you by http://j-kaye-book-blog.blogspot.com/

Sigh. The same two books I was reading last week – Pyramids by Terry Pratchett, and Dandelion Wine by Ray Bradbury.
But I can't blame Idol this time. No, the blame for this slow reading week lies squarely at the feet of Stargate: SG1. I rented Season 8 last Saturday and spent most of my free time over the next week (eight-day hires) watching the whole series, including about four episodes yesterday.
It's not my favourite Stargate series – it felt a little talky, but average Stargate is SO much better than a lot of stuff that's on TV now, that I'll take it. Although I kept wishing they'd update Daniel's glasses. Those roundy frames looked very out-of-date to me.
Um. Yeah.
Happy reading?

I totally get that! I swore to myself that I wouldn't add any more until I finish these three. I've had one on them on my reading stand for over a month. The other one, I should have reviewed months ago. And the last one resembles a yo-yo as it's gone back and forth so many times from my nightstand to my I'll read later shelf. I am putting my foot down.

Now let's see if I can stick with it.

Ohh a Stargate fan! I just recently got into the show. I'm about half way through season 5 atm. And I love it! It is easily one of my favourite shows. The new series Stargate Universe starts up in the fall!

You know, in this era of digital everything, you'd think it would be a snap to just change out the specs for updated ones!! You should write them a letter : D

Happy reading and (er) viewing!

Some of my books have been on my list for a couple of weeks, but I have no deadlines so that's ok(especially for my better half I suspect LOL).

Stargate is a PERFECTLY good reason for not reading, if you ask me :P
